TALK – “Deep Dive Discussions: Immersive Theatre” – in partnership with XR4Europe

Realities In Transition and XR4Europe have partnered to host an in-depth discussion about the relationship between theatrical language and technology in immersive theatre.

For this occasion, we were joined by Artistic Director Ilaria Nina Zedda and Performance Artist Margherita Landi.

Theatre has long embraced new technologies that open up new methods of audience interaction and storytelling. Immersive theatre takes many forms, and we’re reminded of our member Glitch Studios AS’s AR theatre project that won the top prize at the most recent Nordic VR Forum, organized by the VRINN business cluster. And both the ArtTech Foundation and FEDORA Platform are supporting cultural entrepreneurs to develop new tools and businesses integrating cutting edge immersive technologies into theatre, dance, and opera in Europe.

The Festival of Visual Electronics and Extended Realities, arranged by Matadero Madrid and curated by L.E.V. (Laboratorio de Electrónica Visual), will take place from September 18 to 22 2024.
