The presentation of the workshop results was organized on October 28 at KONTEJNER venue in Zagreb. It was mentored by Gad Baruch Hinkis. The target audience were musicians and artists, i.e., individuals with interest and experience in XR technology, arts, and composing/music.

The workshop was divided into three parts: 1. a live showcase of the technology and presentation of the available tools, 2. participants working on their individual projects with support from the mentor, 3. a showcase of what participants have made was organized and one attendee was able to present her creation and even ‘play’ it live in front of the audience.

The participants learned to use the PatchWorld tools that enabled them to transform their visual art into interactive and immersive musical creations within the VR realm. The participants had no prior experience with XR technology, but managed to use the tools quite independently with the PatchWorld VR app. In the workshop (and the final presentation) VR googles were used.

The workshop was intensive and educational, but unfortunately, we didn’t have a lot of participants. Possible reasons: workshop schedule that partially took place during working days. However, the artist who committed and finished her project was extremely happy with the process and the outcome and decided to continue working on the project after the end of the workshop.
