The workshop was closed to the public, as it was intended for the XR expert community that gathered in Zagreb. The participants were members of the Realities in Transition consortium, artists, creatives, lecturers, educators, researchers, and theoreticians active in the XR sphere etc. The goal of the workshop was to expand on the current notions of XR. Before the session, participants gathered for a casual networking event to get to know each other better. In the session, participants were divided into focus groups, and each group had to explore a certain topic related to ethical dimensions of the XR: new and emerging experimental approaches to XR; overstimulation and mental health in XR; gender fluidity and gender bias; exploring new narratives and storytelling methods. The participants in each group had to come up with several statements pertaining to their respective topic and then use the custom-built CXRM app to contribute their perspectives to the manifesto. The group discussions were very productive and stimulating, with the introductory networking session having served as an excellent warm-up. The only issue was time-related, the discussions were cut short due to scheduling limitations and the participants had to enter the statements after the workshop had already ended.
